If you can dream it, we can take you there. We've assembled a team of expert Adventure Specialists to help you find exactly what you're looking for. That means we can recreate an existing itinerary with just a few tweaks to make the schedule perfect for you, or it could be a brand new idea that no one’s done before. No matter where you want to go, we can make it happen.
What exactly is a Custom Tour?
As the name suggests, Custom Tours can be just about anything you want. We can arrange worldwide travel for between 1 and 7 passengers with a minimum 4-day stay.
Passengers on custom tours will travel independently but all services, transfers and accommodations will be pre-booked for you. Our local representatives and guides will provide local day tours and assistance. Tours and transfers can be private or if you prefer you can be pooled with other travellers in order to assure a better rate. If you're not sure exactly what you want, allow us to offer our best selling ideas. Maybe you’ll be inspired by what others have done before you.

We offer a variety of accommodation styles to fit every budget
- Basic- this is grassroots travel at its most interesting...
Dive headfirst into culture and amazing experiences at a budget price. We'll include just the basics so that you have the freedom and flexibility to explore on your own. Hotels used will be quaint with few frills.
- Standard- authentic experiences with some of the comforts of home...
We'll put together an itinerary using simple yet clean hotels and lodges with private facilities. Hotels chosen have a quaint charm and are locally owned and operated.
- Comfort- for those who like their vacation to have the thrill of adventure yet still prefer their creature comforts...
You can expect hotels chosen in this class to offer something a little out of the ordinary. Regardless of the excitement of the day, you'll return to your room for relaxation. All hotels will have air-conditioned rooms, en suite bathrooms, televisions, phone services, cafe/bar and internet, 24 hour electricity, hot water showers and continental breakfast. We try and choose hotels that have local charm and offer exceptional service.

Experiencing the world doesn't have to mean sacrificing comfort. It's your holiday and you deserve the best in life. You can expect unique, upscale, stylish, boutique accommodations that will complete your holiday in ultimate comfort.
- A note about lodges: Most of our jungle lodges are comfortable and eco-friendly. This means they may have features ranging from biodegradable drinking straws to solar-powered lights or generators.

A Custom tour is perfect for families! Unlike our group departures, our Custom tour department can cater to all ages, no matter how young. We’ll also arrange activities that are more family oriented.

Tricia Leonard - Groups & Customized Adventures Supervisor
I was first introduced to the exciting world of travel at age 13 when my parents took me with them on my first European vacation. My growing passion for travel has taken me to more then 20 countries and allowed me to experience many places I hadn't even dreamed of. When it came time to decide on a career path I felt it was an obvious decision to study what I was passionate about which led me to Sheridan Collage where I completed the Tourism & Travel program. I was first introduced to G.A.P Adventures as a travel agent and immediately became excited about the company which motivated me to apply! My passion has always been in adventure travel and working for G.A.P has given me many great opportunities!
Brandi Merchant - Groups & Customized Adventures Coordinator
Growing up in a small town of 500 people I often found myself dreaming about far off places. Family trips across Canada as a child further encouraged me to get out there! My sense of adventure grabbed ahold of me at 19 when I picked up and moved to Mexico! I spent 2 years teaching English to children and enjoying the Mexican culture, history and landscape. But it wasn't enough. The next thing I knew, I was working aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean. In truth, I am a gypsy at heart. I enrolled in a tourism program and landed a job with G.A.P Adventures shortly after graduating. With G.A.P, I have continued my travels to Latin America and have fallen in love with the Latin American culture. Allow me to share my passion for travel with you and help your plan your next adventure!
Tea Saltagic - Groups & Customized Adventures Coordinator
Born in the former Yugoslavia, my family spent time in many countries before residing here in Canada. In order to adapt, I had to learn the local language and culture of each country all the while gaining incredible insight. It was then that I developed a fascination for cultures and languages (Bosnian, English, German, Spanish & French), study Tourism and ultimately work for G.A.P Adventures. This year I have had the opportunity to travel to Peru and Galapagos Islands with G.A.P Adventures and it was the highlight of any trip I have ever taken so far. My sights are currently set on seeing more of Latin America as I am in awe with its passionate people, rich history and most diverse music.
Cindy Kwan - Groups & Customized Adventures Coordinator
From a young age I realized I had the passion for travel as my parents brought me to new and exciting places. I loved experiencing new cultures, languages and seeing another way of life. After graduating I decided to travel on my own, so I put on my back pack and headed to Central and South America, Europe and even taught English in China. After coming back to Canada, I realized that I had the passion for adventure travel and wanted to work for an exciting and innovative company, and so I found G.A.P Adventures. After working here for 3 years one of the most memorable trips I've done is an expedition cruise to Iceland and Greenland! If you can dream it, we can take you there!
Diane Molzan - Senior Sales Manager, Wholesale and Supply
At age 21, I bought my first backpack, sewed a flag on the pocket and took off to explore the world. Over the years, I managed to travel through just over 70 countries and all 7 continents. I've samba-ed through the streets of Salvador during Carnival, peered over the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, scuba dived amid the marine life of the Great Barrier Reef, scaled the Great Wall of China only to name just a few of my experiences and yet still enjoy a nice camping weekend at Algonquin Park in my own back yard. It was no surprise that I came to find G.A.P Adventures 10 years ago and have since called it my home away from home. I proudly manage this incredible group of adventure enthusiasts that come together to form our Groups and Customized Adventures department. I am confident that with the wealth of experience they have and our focus on customer service, the team can offer you the best in adventure at a very competitive price.
