Have you ever dreamed of trekking through the Himalayan Mountains and seeing Mt. Everest staring down upon you oh so majestically? Then come on down for this evening's presentation and hear all about this beautiful country.
Ned just got back from trekking to Everest Base Camp in late October, and is eager to discuss her trials and tribulations and success with everyone. This trip is designed to get you out and explore Nepal; from the lush green (yes green!) countryside to the white snow peaked mountains to the wonderful culture and religions that make this tiny nation so intriguing.
Come on down this evening and learn about the G.A.P Everest Adventure (www.gapadventures.com/tour/anea) as Ned shows you her photos from the tour, some sights of Kathmandu as well, and talks in depth about the day to day trekking and what to expect on this 15 day tour.

The mention of Turkey conjures up vague visions of Oriental splendor and decadence, of mystery and intrigue, of sultans and harems, of luxury and wickedness in the minds of most western visitors.... all of these in a way are true. The Turks as a nation are friendly to foreign visitors, the cuisine is excellent, the cities are dotted with majestic old buildings and the countryside is as beatiful as a national park. The Turks are proud of their Imperial past especially the times of Mehmet the Congueror and Suleyman the Magnificient, when the Ottoman Empire was rich, powerful and envided by the West.

Michael Kappel - Adventure Specialist

I left the flat planes of Eastern Canada to settle down in Calgary – where I wake up seeing the Rockies jet out of the horizon! There are two things that I love more than anything else: Adventure Travel and Mountain Climbing! (Easily combined may I add!) I am a member of the Alpine Club of Canada and spend much of my time mountaineering, rock climbing in our beautiful Rockies.
Although I was born in Calgary, I was raised in Czech Republic after the fall of the Communist Red Curtain in 1990. It has shaped my personality and grew my love of exploring unique cultures, places and times in our history. Since than I have traveled to many parts of Eastern Europe, Turkey, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Croatia .... and am a proud owner of a travel wish list that stretches down Kensington Avenue and all the way to 14th St!!!!!
I have worked in the travel industry for 7 years now and feel extremely fortunate to be a part of G.A.P. Adventures where I can help likeminded people plan their dream trips all around the world!!!
