Events
VANCOUVER - JanuaryPeru has been a top destination close to the heart of many G.A.P Adventures staff and travellers since the early days of G.A.P Adventures. With trips running to Peru 365 days a year (366 days this year!), and more trips on the Inca Trail than any other tour operator, G.A.P Adventures 'knows' Peru inside and out. Sheralyn Berry has travelled to Peru many times to experience all that this amazing country has to offer, from Machu Picchu to the amazing jungle of the Amazon to stunning Lake Titicaca, Peru is a destination not to be missed. Come join Sheralyn and see some amazing photos and hear her first-hand stories of adventure travelling around this South American gem.
Start the new year off right with the opportunity to meet other single travellers at the first G.A.P Adventures Vancouver speed dating event. New to speed dating? Here is how it works:
You spend 5 minutes chatting with each of your dates - just enough time to figure out who you’d like to see again. The following day you are sent the contact details of the people that liked you too, you take it from there.
The age range for this event will be 25-35. H'orduerves will be served.
Spots available: 3 women, 9 men
This is a free event however a small donation for Planeterra, our non-profit organization, would be greatly appreciated.
Staff Bios
My travels began at the age of two when my mom took me
around England, Scotland and France by car. Back in Canada, based in Ontario, I saw a little more of the country from the passenger seat every year...slowly feeding my passion, and eventual addiction to travel.
My first travels on my own led me to Mexico, which I love and have visited numerous times. On my fourth trip to Mexico I planned to work as a volunteer for six months to fully experience life there. I stayed for five years during which
time I began working with G.A.P Adventures as a tour leader on trips through Mexico and Central America! I eventually moved back to Vancouver where I graduated from
UBC with a degree in Latin American
Studies and received my certification as a translator.
I have also travelled to Australia, Fiji, Thailand and Nepal. When I'm not planning your vacations and adventures I can be found at the beach or park with my beloved basset hound or on the seawall training for my next big run. Peru and Bolivia are first on my list for
the next time I dust off my backpack!

My passion for travel started well before I was born. My parents have always been avid travelers and after my brother and myself were born they didn't stop, taking us in tow on all their crazy adventures.
We never were known to travel conventionally. Instead, we would rent cars and explore hidden cities while my dad told us stories of pirates and sunken ships...sometimes we would even search for them!
After finishing film and television school in my home town of Toronto, Ontario I decided to start my own adventures and backpacked solo across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. My desire to work in the travel industry was born.
I have been lucky enough to explore other countries as well such as Costa Rica, Honduras and Bahamas to name a few.
G.A.P Adventures is a great fit for my adventurous nature. It has allowed me to continue my adventures in this amazing world and also share my stories about sunken treasures and lost worlds to other adventurous travelers.
